I'll bet you the drink of your choice that you've never heard of a bill called H.R. 6--a ghastly disaster being pushed by the Democrats who now run every branch of government.  

As always, the Democrats have given that bill a name that makes the bill sound totally wonderful: "The American Dream and Promise act.  Wow, that sounds SO...wonderful, eh?

What it does is give amnesty to all illegal aliens in the U.S.  And by "all," that includes gang members.  Isn't that...wonderful?  Cuz the U.S. needs more gang members, right?

Specifically, H.R. 6 bars federal authorities from using any state or federal data showing an illegal's criminal history or known gang membership to deny that person amnesty or citizenship.  That is, if an illegal applicant has been convicted of murder or rape, or is a known gang member, they'd still be given amnesty.

Republicans understandably thought this was insane, and introduced an amendment to strike that provision, allowing feds to deport illegal-alien gang members, denying criminal illegals amnesty and citizenship.  And of course you can guess what happened...

Democrats blocked the motion, 216 to 203.

This one-party-rule stuff has made it SO much easier to predict the future.
