Sanders touted socialist Venezuela as a place to be admired, cuz..."incomes are more equal"

As the leaders of the Democrat party and their allies in the Lying Mainstream Media continue their screams of joy at passing their two articles of impeachment of the president, let's look at what's being touted by one of the Democrat party's leading presidential candidates as a better system:
"These days, the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina, where incomes are actually more equal today than they are in the land of Horatio Alger. Who's the banana republic now?"
     --Bernie Sanders, 2011
Venezuela as a model of success?

Are you kidding?

And his snarky snarl "Who's the banana republic now?"

If you've been too busy raising kids or studying to have paid attention, Venezuela is where socialism has pushed the people to starvation for the last ten years.

It's where starving citizens have killed zoo animals for food.

Of course like all socialists, when his cherished socialism causes total misery for a country, Sanders claims "What they did there wasn't real socialism!"

Oh really?  Chavez and Maduro sure claimed it was.  But maybe they didn't really know.

Yeah, dat's it.
