Dem-controlled House passes bill to overturn the few surviving voter-ID laws

In Democrat-run cities and states, vote fraud is rampant.  In 2012, for example, investigators found dozens of precincts where more votes were tallied than the number of adults living in that precinct.

To reduce fraud, dozens of states passed laws requiring people who wanted to vote to show proof of their identity.

WELL...Democrats were outraged by this!  How dare you make people show ID to vote?!  After all, we don't make people show ID to buy an airline ticket, eh?

Oh wait...we do.  And no one bats an eye at that.

"BUT that's all.  We don't make people show ID to open a bank account, or sign up for welfare or food stamps, right?"

Oh wait...you have to show ID to do those things too.  So where is all this screaming, wailing, hair-pulling bullshit about how outrageous it is to force people to show ID to vote coming from?

Do you need to guess?  Of course not.  ALL the objections are coming from Democrat politicians and "activists."  And the reason should be obvious:  They want illegals to be able to vote.  And to enable Dem voters to vote multiple times in different precincts.

Is that cool or what?

But wait, it gets better:  Last Friday the Democrat-controlled House passed a bill to overturn state voter-ID laws.  It passed with only one Republican vote.

H.R. 4 —which the Dems cunningly named the Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2019 —overturns voter-ID laws by restoring preclearance provisions of the 1965 Voting Rights Act that were thrown out by the Supreme Court in 2013.

“Action is urgently needed to combat the brazen voter suppression campaign that is spreading across America,” Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said said at a press conference ahead of the vote. “We must restore the strength of the voting rights act.”

Uh-huh.  Actually “This bill would federalize state and local election laws when there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that those states or localities engaged in any discriminatory behavior when it comes to voting,” said Rep. Doug Collins.

Voter ID laws protect the integrity of the ballot box. This bill would sacrifice that integrity by allowing the possibility of more illegal votes to be cast and the will of legal voters’ decisions to be thwarted by voter fraud.
