Illegal alien driver kills American citizen in hit-and-run; released on $10,000 bond

Did you know illegal aliens commit fewer crimes than American citizens?

That's horse shit, of course, but that's what the Democrat leaders claim.

So let's see one such non-story of illegal aliens committing fewer crimes than Americans:

Three weeks ago in Bloomington, Illinois, an illegal alien driving without a license or insurance blew through a red light, killing a father of two who was on a motorcycle.

In this nation we're all taught that if we injure someone while driving, we must stop and render aid.  But being raised in Honduras, the driver quickly fled the scene.  So "hit-and-run."

By the way, Illinois is a sanctuary state.  But that, of course, does NOT increase the number of illegals living there.  No, not a bit.

The next day the driver, Jose Rodriguez-- a 27-year-old illegal alien from Honduras--turned himself in, pleading not guilty.  A judge, having decided that Rodriguez was NOT a risk to flee back to Honduras, released the illegal on a token $10,000 bond.

Last Friday, as the family of the man Rodriguez killed held funeral services, Rodriguez appeared in court.  But astonishingly, now a different judge decided a $10,000 bond was absurdly low, and increased the bond to $1 million.

The illegal alien’s attorney told local media that his client had been “ambushed” in court.

Federal immigration officials confirmed that Rodriguez had been illegally living in the U.S. for years. In 2013 he'd been issued an expedited deportation order, and on March 6, 2014, an immigration judge issued a "final deportation order."

Rodriguez failed to appear for that hearing.  But, like, except for that--and illegally entering the country--he was totally law-abiding.

The deceased victim leaves behind two young daughters, 11 and 14 years old.  But don't worry about them, citizen, cuz liberals tell us fathers aren't needed to help raise kids, right?

Oh, and all the Dems who SCREAM about "children being separated from their parents by the eeebil Trump administration:  I haven't heard a peep out of any of you about these children being permanently separated from their dad.  Anyone?  Bernie?  Kamala?  Corey?  Fauxcahontas?  Buttigeig?  Swalwell?  (oops)  Really, I'm gonna check the news in another day or two and see if any of these open-borders assholes have uttered a single word in sympathy. 

Evidently this kind of family separation isn't the kind Democrats are worried about.

Know what else sucks about this?  Since the illegal had no insurance, nor any assets other than his car, the poor widow has absolutely no chance of getting a dime in damages for wrongful death, or negligence, or...anything.

No recourse whatsoever.  Overnight she became a single mom, losing her husband's help and income, and she has no prayer of getting a dime from the illegal.  But hey, seems fair to Dems, cuz they're the ones who are always pushing for "fairness," right?  As they push for open borders.

And yes, I know everyone makes mistakes, and that it's possible this hit-and-run death could be a simple accident rather than negligence.  But ya know what this "unfortunate accident" shows us, citizen?  We NEED open borders!  At least that's what every single one of the Democrat candidates tell you.  And they've never lied to you before, right?
