Virginia mayor proposes eliminating city's observance of Jefferson's birthday. Reason?

Charlottesville, Virginia, is the home of the University of Virginia, which was founded by America's third president, Thomas Jefferson.  As some of you may know, Jefferson was a key author of many of the freedom-sustaining points in our Constitution.

For over a century Charlottesville has celebrated Jefferson's birthday (April 13th).

Now Charlottesville mayor Nikuyah Walker--a black female--has proposed eliminating the April observance.  Instead she wants to replace it with "Liberation and Freedom Day" some time in March.

Since Democrats have a huge majority on the city council, adoption of the mayor's proposal is certain.

Communists and liberals and Democrats demand that we erase Jefferson from history.  As the Soviets called it, we'll "make him a non-person."
