New Dem media darling: Every person's *right* to a house comes before builders making a profit
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) is the 29-year-old freshman Dem congress-person who instantly became a media darling--and the de-facto leader of the Democrat party--because of her "revolutionary" (as in, communist) proposals.
This is the twit who claimed the world will end in 12 years if we don't stop global warming. She's also the twit who introduced a proposal to ban all fossil fuels. Hard to know whether she thinks the demand for electricity can be filled by windmills and solar panels--especially if she succeeds in banning gasoline-fueled cars--but no matter, comrade: she wants it, idiot Democrat/communist followers support it, so numbers and facts be damned, eh comrade?
Her latest howler is her statement that every person in the U.S. not only has the right to a home, but that in addition, this proclaimed/alleged "right" takes precedence over builders making a profit.
Actual quote: "Our guarantee to having a home comes before someone else's privilege to earn a profit."
Hard to know what she actually means by this, but two reasonable interpretations are that either the Democrats will demand that builders build homes without making a profit (good luck finding any builder who'll volunteer to do that), or more likely, that the government will be in charge of building apartments for all the takers, just as in the former Soviet Union. Or in "public housing" here.
Socialist utopia, baby! And the topper is that the Lying Mainstream Media positively LOVES this twit. And all the top Dem presidential candidates are adopting most of her idiot proposals.
Insane. But of course that's where we are as a nation today.
