In Norway, Muslim stabs a woman in a market checkout line, declares he's a terrorist; elites don't believe him
Four days ago in Oslo, Norway, as a woman stood in the checkout line of a local market, a 20-year-old Muslim stabbed her in the back.
As he prepared to stab her again, an employee intervened and the attacker ran away. He was caught by cops a few hundred yards from the scene.
With the classic coverup-style of state-run media everywhere, the
first news reports said the attacker was "a Russian." While that may have been technically true, it deliberately avoided the real story.
He also reportedly said “all Christians must die,” and that in
addition to stabbing infidels he had also intended to drive a truck
into a crowd of pedestrians.
You'd think those statements should remove any doubt as to his motive. He admits being a jihadist, trying to murder "infidels" for Islam.
Unfortunately, virtually every member of Norway's
cultural and political elite (and ours in the U.S.) goes to great lengths to avoid believing that the attacker meant what he said. They refuse to acknowledge that millions of Muslims believe their prophet urged them to kill non-Muslims.
Worse yet, if you give any hint that you believe that some Muslims believe this, our elites will accuse you
of "islamophobia." They vehemently reject the notion that Islam poses any threat to non-Muslims, and will try to dismiss this idea as absurd by saying things like "People from all countries and all religions attack others."
And sure enough, when attorney Ole Lunde was assigned to defend the attacker he dismissed the statements his client made. Lunde
said that while he had not yet met his client or read his statement to
police, he guessed that the attacker was mentally ill.
Of course. This is standard procedure for attorneys in these
situations since if the attorney can convince a judge that his client is mentally
ill, then he'll avoid a prison sentence.
Once word got out that the attacker was Muslim, the state-run newspaper shifted to a different defense tactic, saying “knife attacks against random individuals, carried out by
Islamists...have so far not happened in Norway.”
This is likely to surprise the families of Norwegians who've been killed in knife attacks by Muslims. In 2006 Stein Sjaastad was a doctor working in
his downtown Oslo office when a rejected Muslim asylum
seeker from Algeria walked in, stabbed him a total of nineteen times,
several times driving the knife at least six inches into Stein’s body.
Stein died from his wounds. It later emerged that the murderer, Kamel
Mellah, had previously made certain “threats” (apparently not to Stein). He'd
been locked up in a mental hospital but apparently didn't strike docs as crazy because they released him in a week.
After killing Stein, Mellah was sent
to a "psychiatric rehabilitation farm"
where he told other patients about his plans to commit more murders. He threatened to kill an employee. But nothing was done. Norwegian authorities refused to send him back to Algeria.
In 2004 a 23-year-old Somali stabbed
six people--one fatally--on a rush-hour tram. The murderer was later arrested outside
his mosque. Like Stein’s killer,
he too was treated as a psychiatric case.
The Western establishment's chronic denial of the reality of jihad is that powerful.
