Life in Iran in the 1970's
Blogger Ned Hardy posted a dozen pics of life in Iran in the 1970's. You really should take a look, because there's a huge lesson for Americans in those photos.
They show how astonishingly rapidly a nation can go from being free, enlightened and cosmopolitan to one in which the people are under a de facto dictatorship.
"Oh," you're thinking, "such a thing could never happen here!"
And why not? Because we're, what...smarter? Hey, 52 percent of you elected a Muslim marxist with virtually no political experience, who refused to produce an official, long-form birth certificate.
Smart like that?
