EU rulers are giving themselves more power to control what can be on the Net

Virtually every EU nation has laws giving that nation's government absolute power to prosecute citizens or orgs that post things on the internet that the government doesn't like.

Of course this sweeping, total power isn't stated like that, but soothingly, as the power to charge a crime for "any content that can be tied to national security, crime prevention, public order, public health, or the right to life and property."  Soothing.  Reassuring.

But as any rational person can easily see, this definition is infinitely elastic: *anything* a ruling party in a government doesn't like can be banned and the poster charged, under this definition--which is carefully crafted--designed--to seem totally helpful, eh?

And leftist countries add a judicial order that the government (prosecutors) don't need to identify which post the government considered offensive, or the exact nature of the offense.

And that's coming here when the Dems regain control.  You just don't believe it.

ALL laws to regulate the internet are inevitably used to ban posts the ruling partei doesn't like--and to prosecute the posters.  The Democrats have already tried this several times, with the "Disinformation Governance Board" (headed by the moronic despot Nina Jankowicz) and the so-called "Net Neutrality Act," to name just two.

In April of 2022--under the corrupt moron bribem--his DHS quietly created the cunningly named "Disinformation Governance Board," headed by Jankowicz.  Cuz no good American likes "disinformation," eh?  On a Sunday morning show on the Dem propaganda network CNN, bribem's head of DHS, Alejandro Mayorkas, called Jankowicz "eminently qualified, a renowned expert in the field of disinformation."

If you've forgotten, Mayorkas was the communist rat-bastard who repeatedly bleated on video "Our southern border is, like, totally secure.  Of course that was a brazen lie, and everyone knew it.  But Mayorkas was right in calling Jankowicz "an expert in the field of disinformation."

Jankowicz said she opposed censorship--and yet the ONLY purpose of the DGB would have been to ensure that Americans couldn't post anything the Dems didn't like--by decreeing that such posts were "disinformation."

And of course NO guuud 'Merican likes "disinformation," right?

The pushback was so intense that just one month after the bribem regime created the DGB, they quietly "paused" it, and three months later (August of 2022) they quietly eliminated it. 

Of course you've forgotten all that, and you don't believe the Dems will ever try that again, right? cuz...reasons, eh?
