The U.S. Mainstream Media is the Dem counterpart of the Gulag Archipelago
If you're white and found to be carrying a gun, the Lying Mainstream Media will say you're a "violent domestic extremist." But if a black felon is found carrying a gun (which is illegal in almost every state) the same Mainstream Media ignores it--and Dem DA's will actually dismiss the charge of "felon in possession," cuz...um...reasons.
For young Americans: 50 years ago communist rulers in the former USSR (look it up) arrested a man named Alexsandr Solzhenhitzen for "counter-revolutionary acts." He was sentenced to 20 years in Siberian prisons. He coined the term "gulag archipelago" for a chain of prisons strewn across Siberia, where the communist dictators sent anyone who opposed 'em.
The system was devastatingly effective in removing ALL "dissidents" from public life. They became "non-persons"--a term popularized by George Orwell in his dark novel "1984." Cuz if a man is never heard from again, it's like he died, eh?
Here in the U.S. we have a much more humane, sophisticated system: Americans know it as "the Media," but freedom-lovers know it as the "Lying Mainstream Media"--an arm of the Democrat partei responsible for seeing that only stories favorable to the Democrat partei are printed or broadcast.
It's not totally effective because local newzpapers [sic] and TV stations can't totally ignore stories that would cause rational voters to blame the Democrat partei, cuz the outlets would lose credibility. But the stories are never broadcast nationally, nor printed by national papers like the NY Times or WaPo, so most American never know about 'em.
But a funny thing happened: Solzhenitsyn was able to write "The Gulag Archipelago" and smuggle it out of Siberian prisons. It was published in the West--and the Left has been trying to ignore it ever since. Not "rebut it," but "ignore it." Nevah happen, eh citizen? Jus' "right-wing propaganda!"
Try asking your "well-educated" friends if they ever heard of the book. Or the author.
Is dis a great system or what?
