To every Democrat wailing about Kimmel's suspension: See what he said in 2018
[X restricted an earlier version of the post below, without specifying the reason and no link to appeal the restriction, so I'm forced to guess what triggered X's bots. Trying again with some strong epithets deleted. What I said earlier was "Surely Jimmy is NOT [series of strong epithets]. Kimmel flat-out lied, explicitly stating that "the MAGA gang" was "desperately trying" to claim Charlie Kirk's assassin was "other than one of them. That's a lie, so using his own logic I should be able to say "Surely he's NOT a [series of strong epithets]" with impunity, eh? If he can say what he said, all of us should be able to lie about HIM with the same impunity. Hmmm...]
Let's review, Democrats: Your hero, Jimmy Kimmel, used his show on ABC to say something most rational people regarded as outrageous:
"We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them..."
"...desperately trying to characterize" the assassin "as anything other than one of them."
Owners of ABC affiliated stations were outraged (as were most rational people) and called the network to demand an apology, threatening to stop carrying the show. ABC execs told Kimmel to apologize. Kimmel refused, so they "suspended" him.
We're not to the good part yet. The Democrats screamed bloody murder: "Dis beez duh end of ouah nation!" they wailed. "It violates his freedom of speech!" they screamed. "NO ONE should be fired for anything they say, either on the air or off! It's right dere in duh Constitution!"
But of course it's not. As anyone who's actually read the thing knows, the first Amendment demands that congress shall make no law restricting speech. Companies aren't subject to any such order.
Hmmm...So after reading the Constitution for the first time, the Dems tried a different approach: "The Trump regime threatened ABC if they didn't fire Kimmel, an' dat's illegal." AHHhh, so if some other comedian made an offensive remark, and ABC fired 'em, Kimmel would bravely, resolutely defend that other person, right?
Cuz SURELY Jimmy's not an [epithet deleted], [epithet deleted], [epithet deleted], scum-sucking, hypocritical POS, right?
Wait...do you think I implied some bad things there? Not at all, Dems: I clearly wrote "Surely he's NOT..." all those things. Cuz according to Kimmel and you Dems, dat beez perfectly legal and not actionable. So eat shit, Kimmel. And here's the topper: Seven years ago female comedian Roseann Barr made a late-night tweet in bad taste, about Barack Obama's closest advisor, Valerie Jarrett.
Within hours, ABC cancelled Roseanne's VERY popular weekly show. So let's see how the hypocritical POS Jimmy Kimmel responded back then, eh? Is this guy in the pic below you, Jimmy?
What say you now, you hypocritical POS? How's Karma taste, Jimmy? Of course you've already hired high-powered lawyers, who've assured you that a NYC jury will award you hundreds of millions of dollars in damages. So you'll come out smelling like...the hypocritical POS you are.
