Obama-appointed judge bars EPA from cancelling $14 BILLION in corrupt bribem grants

A leftist, Obama-appointed judge has blocked the EPA from canceling $14 BILLION in Dem bribes grants.

Yesterday (3/18) district judge Tanya Chutkan--who was born in Jamaica--RULED that the EPA could NOT cancel three multi-billion-dollar clean energy grants to three agencies that appear to be "pass-through" entities created to grab grant dollars for Democrats.

Chutkan found that the EPA had likely violated the law by issuing letters to Climate United Fund, Coalition for Green Capital and Power Forward Communities saying their grants were terminated.  Climate United had gotten $6.97 billion, Coalition for Green Capital $5 billion and Power Forward $2 billion.

The grants were made by bribem's EPA under the Democrats' laughably-misnamed "Inflation Reduction Act," which of course did no such thing.

Ahh, I see my liberal friends are skeptical.  Okay, consider that a section of this POS, Democrat-rammed LAW established a "Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund," which doesn't reduce inflation a bit.  Instead it was a carefully planned Dem scheme to funnel billions to "connected" Democrat groups under the guise of "fighting Globull Worming."

Chutkan, an Obama appointee, ordered that all the funds--already deposited in Citibank--remain in the groups’ respective bank accounts and that the EPA was barred from recovering the $14 billion.

The Justice Department argued that the EPA had the right to address “program integrity” concerns, including “fraud, waste and abuse."

Chutkan rejected that argument, saying the termination letters provided no clear legal justification, and that the sudden suspension of funds risked "irreparable harm" for the green energy groups.

Yep, duh EPA can't just claw back corrupt grants, deliberately made so that the EPA had no oversight over how the funds were spent.  That was intentional.

Chutkan ruled that the EPA might ultimately be able to recover the $14 billion, but couldn't just cancel the grants.  It's amusing: under Dem rules a corrupt regime is allowed to award tens of billions in grants with the stroke of a pen, but that can't be undone without years of lawsuits.  Instead, Chutkan said the government must abide by statutes governing the National Clean Investment Fund.

I'll bet the documents authorizing that slushfund don't say a single word about how corrupt grants can be cancelled.  I'll check and let you know.
