biden's "energy secretary" *demands* oil companies "refine more gas" *today*, then admits regime will go back to killing oil

People rarely get to see a regime official totally caught in an "oops" moment on live TV..  So take a look at how convincingly (or not, depending on you viewpoint) biden's utterly incompetent Energy Secretary, Jennifer Granholm, fields a simple question from one of the regime's biggest shills, CNN.

 

Background:  After Porridgebrain killed all offshore oil and gas exploration in U.S. waters on his second day in office, the price of oil and gas began to increase...fast.  When biden ordered no more U.S. purchases of Russian oil, as a way of punishing Russia for invading Ukraine, the price of oil and gas soared to record levels.  You may have heard.

Now: the mid-term elections are in 18 weeks, and unless prices drop fast, the polls show the Democrats are in line for a well-deserved wipeout.  (May not happen due to cheating, but the polls say it looks grim for 'em.)  Solution?  Threaten the oil companies to get them to increase "production."  And "refinery output."

Wait....why not just encourage the oil companies to...um...drill?  

Because the Democrats' base voters would scream bloody murder!  Cuz befo' duh 'lection candidate biden promised to put a stop to ALL drilling.

Let me say that again:  The dumb bastard is on video, on stage in his debate with socialist Bernie Sanders, screaming that if elected he will end ALL drilling, all oil and gas production in the U.S.

Yes, it IS insane.  But biden's handlers knew that's what Dem voters wanted to hear.  And they knew they could count on the corrupt Mainstream Media not to take his senile bullshit seriously (which they didn't)..

So now, with gas prices slated to go even higher than today, let's look at the choices available to those stupid, stupid rat-bastards: they've got to do *something* so they look competent, powerful, smart.  But do WHAT?  So biden writes letters to every oil company, threatening to use "emergency powers" if the companies don't produce more gasoline.  But they can't say "We'd like you to increase oil exploration (i.e. drilling), cuz that would make biden and the Dems look as dumb as they actually are.

Now:  Jennifer Granholm is one of bidens least-competent cabinet picks (which is really saying something)..  She's not from an energy-producing state, and the only brush she's had that's even remotely related to energy is that she own about two million dollars worth of stock in an EV battery company.  Other than that, zip.

So energy-clueless Jenny appears on CNN, expecting the usual tongue-bath.  The interview starts well, with the CNN shill letting Jenny brag about threatening doze bad ol' oil companies to get 'em to "refine more gasoline."  She pointedly does NOT say "to get them to drill for more oil," but then the CNN guy doesn't press her on the obvious.

But then he goes off-script, saying "Wait, I thought the preznit said he was determined to end oil and gas in the U.S.  Are you telling me you want-- five or ten years from now--you want the refineries putting out more gasoline?  In five or ten years?"

Granholm sees the trap--and there's this noticeable pause where you can hear her wheels spinning as she looks for a way to avoid admitting what should be obvious to every American (but alas, isn't):

So she replies, "What we're saying is TODAY we need that supply increased.  But OF COURSE in five or ten years, or even in the immediate, we are also pressing on the accelerator [strong metaphor!  Powerful!  Convincing!] to move toward clean energy."    

Ah, we see.  You threaten the oil companies, to get them to "refine" more gasoline.  But wait...doesn't gasoline come from oil?  And aren't we already having to import oil, seeing as how your pig-ignorant, ranting, senile preznit killed oil exploration?  So how do expect this to happen, eh?

"Wuh...wuh...uh...it'll happen because we ORDER it to.  And if dey dare defy our ORDERS we will punish them and cost them billions in "windfall profits taxes"!  Yeh, dat's it." 

Then after the oil companies have bowed to our power (and we're past this temporary drop in the polls, and safely past the mid-terms), we'll get back on plan and resume killing all oil and gas and force Americans to buy electric cars, so the U.S. can stop emitting duh DEADLY carbon dioxide!  Which bees killin' duh planet.  Bees raisin' duh ocean level.  Gon' flood ev'ryting on duh coasts!

If the average American voter knew anything about energy or economics, Granholm, biden and the Democrats would be laughed out of all polite company.  But thanks to the cover of the Lying Media and poorly educated voters, they can safely contradict themselves three times before lunch and voters will never notice.

(I think the last time Americans saw an admin official lie this brazenly was Bill Clinton's video deposition in the Lewinski perjury case, in which he was asked "Have you ever had sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky?"  And Slick Willy answered "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."  Even the Dem-fellating media couldn't spin that one.)
