Does the CDC know virus survival rates by age? Yes. Why haven't I seen those numbers on TV? Um...

Imagine the following public-"service" ad in some third-world shithole:

"Dis virus bees deadly!  Dere bees no cure!  If yo wanna live, you gots to take wunnerful vax!" 

"We give you vax fo FREE cuz it so gud!  But if you don' take wunnerful vax, you cain't go outside yo house.  If you still refuse wunnerful vax, you lose yo Social Security, an' we take yo kids!  So when yo take vax, we gibs yo card dat say dat.  If peeps bees outside wifout card, dey pay big fine."

"But don' lissen to dem Rethuglicans when dey say we forcin' peeps to take vax.  We ain't forcin' no one to take wunnerful vax!  An' don' lissen to Rethuglicans when dey say lotsa peeps get reely sick an' die right after dey take vax!  Dat not true!  If you not believe, go on Fakebook an' Twatter, an' you don' see nothin' 'bout dis.  Dat mean it not true!"

Now...replace the theatrical third-world-dictator dialog with grammatically-correct bureau-babble.  You instantly recognize that the mythical third-world dictatorship is pushing bullshit, and you wouldn't take the vax.  But when "elites" on your TV use the same arguments, you believe them.  

It's nice when every Media outlet, and social-media, support the government Narrative, eh?
