Teen fatally shoots 60-year-old woman in attempted carjacking. Dems: We need to ban guns!

Five days ago in the parking lot of a motel along I-5 in California, an 18-year-old female fatally shot a 60-year-old woman in an attempted carjacking.

The killer fled on foot but was quickly captured.  A handgun was found a few feet away from her--as if she'd thrown it to avoid being caught with the murder weapon.  See, she dindoo nuffin.  It's just a total coincidence that the gun was found a few feet from where she was captured.  Total coincidence, citizen.

Authorities suspect the killer may have carjacked another driver 30 minutes earlier, in which the owner was shot several times.  Police found his car crashed on the shoulder of I-5 close to the scene of the second carjacking.

So, citizen...obviously the U.S. has a big problem:  GUNS!  So obviously what we need is for Democrats to use their control of congress and the presidency to pass a law banning the sale of guns, and requiring citizens to turn in their guns.  Yep yep yep!  That will ensure that poor would-be criminals aren't FORCED, by hunger and desperation to have the latest iPhone, to allow one of those eeeevil GUNS to lead them into some accidental situation where they're forced to let the gun protect them from an irrational, angry car owner!

What?  You say that would be gun "confiscation"?  That's ridiculous, citizen!  It's not "confiscation," it's simply requiring people to turn in their dangerous guns!  It's simply a public-safety issue, citizen.  Surely you support public safety, right?

All we have to do is ban guns, and there won't be any more carjackings, or murders of 60-year-olds by naive teenagers.

Why yes, since you asked, our party HAS discussed banning pointy knives next, then baseball bats.  I mean, why would a civilian need a baseball bat?
