Re-cap of global warming theory

As everyone has heard, one of the many constant shrieks from the Left is that rising levels of CO2 are causing the planet to get warmer.  As in, fatally.

They tell you that CO2 is a "greenhouse gas" that prevents the sun's heat from escaping back into space.  Most people view this as persuasive, since it's well known that greenhouses are used to grow plants when the ambient temperature is otherwise too cold.  So, case closed, eh?

The warmies go on to claim that the increase of this supposedly-deadly CO2 is being caused by burning carbon fuels--mainly for transportation and to make electricity.  And since the U.S. uses more energy per person than other nations, Leftists claim it's obviously your job to cut your energy use dramatically--say by half.  (At least for starters.)

This, like the clever analogy of a greenhouse, sounds totally plausible.  But then you learn that China is building more new coal-fired generating plants every year than exist in the entire U.S.  Where are the Leftists demanding that China cut *its* CO2 emissions, eh?  

Crickets.  The Left ignores Chinese emissions, because the communist Chinese government can't be guilted into killing *their* economy by fake science.  So the Left doesn't want you to look at China's use of carbon fuel.  Oh, leftists will claim they want all countries to get on-board, but actually they focus their shrieks on just western nations--and particularly on the U.S.  They demand that we sacrifice our relatively low-cost energy to save the planet.

How...convenient...for inefficient leftist dictatorships, eh?

So how do the Left's self-proclaimed "experts"--totally supported by the wokie Democrats and their Mainstream Media allies--propose to replace carbon fuels?

Why, "green energy," of course!  Wind and solar.  Doesn't matter to the Left that both are "intermittent."  AOC and her leftist supporters likely don't even recognize that, but what it means is that unless you're willing to accept routine blackouts, you have to have what power engineers call "spinning reserve" to keep the lights on (including traffic signals, btw) and the pumps and elevators running when the wind stops or an overcast temporarily halts solar electricity.

"What's so bad about spinning reserve?" say Leftists.  "Spinning lets us make our own thread and clothes without corporate greed or child labor!  It's just wonderful!"

Ah, that's certainly wonderful, but "spinning reserve" actually refers to having power-generating plants with steam already up, already turning generators, ready to produce all the electricity a city or region needs when an overcast kills solar or the wind stops.  Otherwise everything will stop for the hours needed for a boiler to get up full steam.

For those with degrees in ____-studies, this requirement would essentially double the cost of electricity.

Leftists retort that this is a lie--an attempt by the eeeevil capitalist paaaatriarchy! to prevent society from getting rid of doze awful, awful carbon fuels!  Besides, they claim paying twice as much for electricity is fine, and everyone should be eager to do that because it's the only thing that will save our climate from certain destruction--by warming!  Due to CO2!  A greenhouse gas!

Case closed!

Bill Gates claims--dutifully echoed by his army of morons--that we can get rid of carbon fuel (thus saving the planet) by "creating and rolling out breakthrough technologies." That’s wonderful, Bill.  Have at it.  And when you've operated a powerplant using one of those new technologies for a year or so, and have good numbers we can examine, give us a call.  Otherwise this is known as "vaporware," a.k.a. pie in the sky.

Gates is an interesting case.  This supposed expert on computers once gave a speech claiming "640 megabytes should be enough memory for any personal computer."  The Media ate it up.  Yet his own company's product was eating up almost this whole amount of memory just to *operate* the PC, and now the industry standard is eight times more than Gates claimed.  Similarly, Gates is totally out of his depth on climate.  "Journalists" simply print whatever he says, uncritically, because they once billed him the world's richest person.

Fear of "global warming" is the source of vast funding for scientists--and their employers.  As with the Chinese virus, people with an agenda fan fears of death to get governments to give them cash, and to impose totalitarian rules that just coincidently have the effect of ruining western nations while leaving communist nations unchanged.
