"Director of Cinematography" for the NY Times being paid by the Chinese Communist Party--deletes his entire Twatter acct
It's always so amusing to watch how a pampered-prince darling of the Left--a Director of [bullshit] for the Left's flagship rag the New York Times, no less--behaves when he's found to have been working as a paid agent of the Chinese Communist Party at the same time.
You may be surprised to learn that the Times even has a "Director of Cinematography." I mean, isn't "cinema" motion pictures? And isn't the Times a newspaper? (Technically, at least.) But hey, works for them, so I guess it's cool.
So...the "Director of Cinematography" for the Times is a guy named Jonah Kessel. Someone finally looked at his Twatter account, and found that he bragged about working for the CCP, re-designing the state-owned China Daily paper and website.
So what did he do when he was found to be working for the communists? Erase a few tweets, maybe?
Nah. the dude erased his entire Twitter history--some 23,000 posts.
Kessel, a former creative director at the state-run outlet China Daily and freelancer with clients including China’s Ministry of Information, also insisted working for the communist “regime” had its benefits.
Now...it'll be amusing to watch how the vaunted Times reacts. Prediction: First they'll say nothing, hoping no one will notice, and any reporter who does will be deferential enough not to write a story about it.
Next: If that fails, the editors at the Times will blow smoke, claiming a) the guy's impressive title notwithstanding, he's really a minor nobody posted way over on the other side of the world, where we have no way of knowing what he's doing; AND b) It's a free country, so we don't try to control our minor employees if they want to pick up side jobs, as long as it doesn't reflect badly on our Party.
