Associated Press issues rules for its reporters in writing about the non-crisis at some far-away border that Dems didn't trigger
You gotta love the AP's use of "Some believe the current increase is [merely due to] regular seasonal fluctuation." Wow. And ya know, "some" believe the Democrat leadership stole the election. "Some" believe George Floyd had three times the lethal level of fentanyl in his bloodstream when he died. "Some" believe there's no Global Warming crisis. But the AP ignores those folks. "Some believe" is a classic fake, used when the writer knows the facts don't support his or her story but wants readers to think his claims are reasonable. Enter "Some believe."
Love the intro to the next bit: "some tips to [?] language to use and NOT use."
Interesting: Can't use "crisis" in referring to the flood of illegals, since the AP says that's reserved for a "turning point, decisive or crucial time." Hmmm...seems to me that fits perfectly, since we'll never be able to deport 'em, and with their birth rates their numbers will triple in five years. But while the AP refuses to let reporters say the flood of illegals is a crisis, it's perfectly acceptable to say that the *illegals* would face a TRUE "humanitarian crisis" if returned to their home countries.
Wow, screaming double-standard, jerks.
Also, the AP refuses to use the perfectly accurate term "illegals," instead demanding that reporters use the glossy term "migrants." Cuz using "illegals" implies that Biden is NOT enforcing U.S. immigration law--which is totally true. Can't have Americans learning about THAT, right?
