There's a basic principle of politics and international relations:  If your opponent tells you what they plan to do and who they are, you're well advised to believe them.

With that in mind, watch the WaPo's ghastly harpy Jennifer Rubin as she crows that Democrats have to totally "level" the GOP--to ensure there are "no survivors," because if the Dems leave any conservatives alive, eventually they might elect another president.
