Portland city govt has been fining the DHS $48,000 per DAY for putting a fence around fed courthouse

Yes, you read the headline right:  In the Democrat-run shithole city of Portland, for the past 63 nights in a row rioting mobs of Antifa and BLM have attacked the federal courthouse there, attacking DHS agents (which the Lying Mainstream Media always calls "federal troops" so low-information voters will think they're regular military soldiers) and breaking every window they could reach.

The communist/Democrat/"progressive" mayor of Portland ordered city cops NOT to intervene to protect the courthouse from the rioters, leaving the mob free to destroy at will.

To try to prevent more damage, the feds put up a fence around the building, about 15 feet from the walls.  The fence is a foot or two into the street, and the city gruberment has screamed bloody murder that it's blocking the bike lane, which it is.

So the city RULED that it would levy a fine on DHS of $48,000 per DAY (two thousand dollars per HOUR) for every day the fence stayed in place.

Naturally you can't believe any of that.  So here ya go:

So here's an idea for ya:  How about the feds declare the building a total loss, and bill the city of Portland for the cost of replacing it somewhere else?  I'm betting the cost of that building is probably north of $50 million.

Then since Portland is 99 percent Democrat, I'd move the trial to, say, Idaho.  And let's see how a jury there would feel about the utter, outrageous brazenness of the shithole Portland city government fining the DHS for trying to protect a building the city ordered their own cops NOT to protect.

Yeah, let's see how a jury of federal taxpayers NOT in Portland will shake out on that one, eh?
