Two states proposed lifting lockdowns early; media accused one of "human sacrifice," praised the other. Hmm...
Think the media is fair? Unbiased? Consider this story:
Last month the governors of Georgia and Colorado both took steps to reopen their states' economies after the initial panicked shutdown over the Chinese virus. But the media blasted just one of those governors as experimenting with "human sacrifice," according to the headline of an April 29 article published in the leftist shit-rag Atlantic.
In case that wasn't scary enough, the authors went on to claim the governor of that state was turning his state's citizens into "unwilling canaries in an invisible coal mine, sent to find out just how many individuals need to lose their job or their life for a state to work through a plague."
By contrast, not a critical word was written about the governor of the other state.
Gee, wonder why the coverage by the Lying Mainstream Media was so...vastly different?
Oh, I see: The governor who got hammered was a Republican, Georgia's Brian Kemp, while the gov the media gave a total pass to was Democrat Jared Polis of Colorado.
When Kemp announced his plan to gradually reopen some Georgia businesses, former National Journal editor Ron Fournier twatted
The Media screams that any Republican governor proposing to reopen is defying experts who "warn they're moving too fast." But NBC praised Democrat Polis as a political maverick displaying courageous leadership in trying times. NBC quotes a "Democrat strategist" praising his man's confidence and bravery: "Jared is a unique individual," NBC quoted. "He's confident as to where he's going."
Ah, now I see: Democrat re-opening good, Republican re-opening bad. Got it.
CNN ran articles on the Republican governor's "hugely high-stakes coronavirus gamble," and another about how his state's "business owners are conflicted" about the plan to reopen. The article ignored the Democrat governor's re-opening plans. But lest you spot bias, CNN did mention the other governor, in a separate CNN article praising him for "taking their first steps toward a new normal."
So how have the two states fared with their re-opening--one of which was forecast to be a tidal wave of "human sacrifice" while the other was simply "the first steps toward a new normal"?
Two days ago Colorado reported 318 new cases, while Georgia reported 579.
SEE??!! The Republica governor is "sacrificing his people"!!! "We warned you moron Rethuglicans!"
Wait, some surely questionable figures claim Colorado has 5.8 million people, while Georgia has 10.6 million--meaning the per-capita rates are virtually identical: 54.8 per million for Colorado, and 54.6 for Georgia.
Can anyone explain why the Lying Media's coverage has been so different?

"Mark this day. Because two and three weeks from now, the Georgia death toll is blood on his hands. And as Georgians move around the country, they’ll spread more death and economic destruction."See, the Lying Media wants to keep the economy in ruin--if possible, to make the ruin worse--for as long as possible. The way to do that is to keep screaming that anyone who dares to go out of their homes--back to work or out shopping or even--can you imagine?--out to dinner is going to kill you and your children!
