Biden says he's willing to sacrifice "hundreds of thousands of oil & gas jobs" to fight "climate change"
During last Thursday’s Democratic presidential
debate one of the moderators asked former vice-president Joe Biden
if he'd “be willing to sacrifice hundreds of thousands of
blue-collar jobs in oil and gas in an effort to help fight climate
change."
Biden replied “The answer is yes.” He doubled down on that answer even after the moderator noted that the move could displace hundreds of thousands of jobs, saying “The answer is yes because of the opportunity...for those workers to transition to high paying jobs."
As one commenter noted, "It's certainly noble of Biden and the others to sacrifice my job so they can win the Dem nomination. Can't wait to show 'em how much I appreciate that plan next November."
