Yesterday in France, "asylum-seeker" stabs ten, kills one. French officials barely notice

Yesterday afternoon in France a 33-year-old Afghan "asylum seeker" killed a 19-year-old male and stabbed another nine unarmed civliians with a knife at a public transit station.  Three of the victims are in critical condition.

Police said the suspect had no previous record of violence.  French officials said they don’t believe the stabbing was terror-related.

The mayor of the city tweeted “I am extremely shocked by the attack that has just occurred in the Lyon area during which one person died and several others [were] injured.  Fortunately the attack was not terror-related."

Commenters were...skeptical.  One noted "If the attacker had been a white Catholic, or any Christian, authorities would have immediately denounced the attack as "terrorism," even before any investigation.  Cuz "domestic terror groups" are always stabbing people, eh?"

But not to worry: French officials said they don’t believe the stabbing was terror-related.  Whew, that's a great relief, eh?

Other commenters noted that if we were to follow the "logic" of U.S. Democrat pols and their leftist supporters, we'd have to ban knives.  "Nobody needs a knife with a point on it.  And we need to have common-sense restrictions on sharpness.  So what if it takes a bit longer to cut a roast?  No one needs an "assault knife."  How many tragedies must we endure before we enact sensible knife laws?

Fortunately French officials said they don’t believe the stabbing was terror-related.

I hope that this "unfortunate incident" doesn't impact the ability of the attacker to be given asylum in France.  No doubt his asylum case will be fast-tracked, and he'll be given extra benefits--bigger house, more cash per month--cause he's clearly suffering.

In fact, the French should let the attacker live next to Macron's palace.  After all, he's not a threat to anyone.  French officials said they don’t believe the stabbing was terror-related.
