Bowing to Sharia law, German high court strikes down law against child marriage. Seriously
One of the cunning tricks the Left uses to destroy its enemies works like this: Most good people understand the need for laws. If their legimately-elected representatives pass a law, good people feel inclined to obey it, if only to avoid the consequences--being fined or jailed--of breaking it.
The same principle applies to decisions made by courts: Because the courts can strike down laws, or interpret a law intended to do one thing in a way that allows an entirely unforeseen outcome, good people tend to go along with rulings from courts--even if those rulings are totally corrupt.
One of the ways radical Islam--the group that wants Islam to take over every country in the world--takes over countries is through the courts, getting judges to accept Sharia law. Example: like most good people, Germans don't believe a ten-year-old girl should be forced into a "marriage" arranged by her parents. The girl clearly has no say in a decision that often subjects her to huge misery.
To signal that arranged marriages of underage girls were not acceptable in Germany, the German equivalent of congress passed a law nullifying such marriages in Germany.
Now Germany's equivalent of our Supreme Court has ruled that law unconstitutional. But what's astonishing is the legal argument used: The court stated that the ban on child marriage violates Articles 1 (human dignity), 2 (free development of personality), 3 (equal protection) and 6 (protection of marriage and family) of the Germany equivalent of our Constitution.
Note the reasoning here: You'd think that forcing a ten-year-old into an arranged marriage would violate her "human dignity," "free development of personality" and "equal protection." But Germany's highest court turned these three key principles upside down, using them to strike down a law nullifying child marriages.
It's insane. But you are instructed not to complain, citizen, because "it's all perfectly legal."
