Leftist rag compares Trump to Iran's mullahs, implies Trump shut down internet access

If you want to have a prayer of keeping this country from being run by socialists you need to understand the tactics used by the Left, and how they think.

Today's example:  Most Americans know that Iran is now in the 6th day of massive demonstrations against that nation's dictatorial Islamic regime.  Many Americans have also read that one of the countermeasures used by the regime was to shut down the internet in the 60 or so cities that have seen major demonstrations.

Governments shut down the Net so citizens can't see whether their demonstrations are sparking people in other cities to hit the streets in their own anti-regime demonstrations.  The mullahs don't want people to know how many people agree with the demonstrators.

So, national leaders who shut down internet access are bad--fearful of being overthrown.  Got it?

So take a look at how cunningly the anti-Trump socialists at Newsweek used this to make it appear that Trump is as bad as the mullahs of Iran:
To understand how cunning this is, you need to know that Twitter gives users the option to block obnoxious people from posting on their Twitter page.  Trump has done that several times.  So Newsweek cleverly conflates "blocking" with blocking internet access for everyone.

"See, citizen?  We told you Trump was a dictator who was gonna end your freedom of speech!!!!"

And half of all Americans--mostly the low-info Left but also some educated people who aren't well versed in Twitter or the Net will believe Trump shut down Net.  Cuz Newsweek cunningly implied it, by deliberately conflating the two things.
