Leftists hate "How to thank a soldier"

Okay, this is a must-read:  It's titled "How to Thank a Soldier" and is a couple of dozen pics of G.W. Bush visting with soldiers in a number of settings.

I doubt anyone will be surprised to see these.

The must-read is...the comments.  You will not. believe. the number of hateful comments directed at the former president, apparently by American leftists/"progressives."  They regard Iraq and Afghanistan as "failed experiments of neocon imperialism."

Yes, one guy really said that, and a hundred others had minor variations of the same.  If you asked them how "imperialism" squares with the original plan to go in, defeat Saddam and get out in ten years or less they'd probably claim that Bush's original plan was to occupy Iraq forever, and we only left because we were forced out by the superior fighting skills of Al-Qaeda or some such crap.

I suspect a second favorite deflector used by leftists would be "Well, Bush's plan was to keep the troops there forever, but Barack (pbuh) spoiled those plans by pulling 'em out!  Neener neener neener!"

Impervious to logic.

I suspect one could compile a funny video by asking Leftists if they agreed that the U.S. deserved to be attacked on 9/11 because the poor Muslims were simply retaliating for Bush invading Afghanistan.

Now, I truly do understand the lefties who say "I was totally opposed to taking any kind of military action in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and didn't want any American troops fighting over there.  So they weren't there at my request, nor protecting me, so I don't feel any need to thank 'em!"   I don't have any problem with that mindset, really.  And there were some comments along those lines.

The comments I'm taking issue with are the ones that bitch about the U.S. being imperialistic.  It's like 9/11 never happened.  It's like they really believe we went to war to seize Iraq's oil.

Stupid, stupid, stupid people.
