Platform of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA)
One of the beauties of both written material and video is that the org or person who created it has a hard time disavowing it.
Thus you'll get a kick out of the current "program" posted by a bunch of drug-addled communist morons calling themselves the Democratic Socialists of America. Some of their claims/positions/policies:
First they propose to eliminate the U.S. senate, and citizens voting to elect presidents. Instead presidents would be chosen by...wait for it...congress. Which the DSA plans to control.
Supreme Court judges would also be chosen by congress instead of being nominated by the president and sent to the senate for confirmation. (Cuz no more senate.) Other platform points:
*an immediate end to all deportations,
*amnesty for all illegal aliens
*defunding the Department of War.
*allowing non-U.S.-citizens to vote for members of congress.
*32-hour work week with no reduction in either pay or benefits;
*Medicare for all, regardless of age;
*canceling all student loan debt (apparently tax dollars pay it)
*nationwide rent control (rent freeze)
This is so extreme that you think it can't be real. In that case go to program.dsausa.org.
Here's part of it:
Imagine taking a day off from work in a future without capitalism.
[Without capitalism] you now enjoy your work; it’s interesting to you, and you’re well trained for it. You work as much as you are able and no more than needed, and you would control your own labor and see it going to good use. It’s not just a job to pay the bills.
Speaking of bills: you don’t really have them anymore. You have no debt. You don’t need health insurance. You don’t pay a mortgage or have a landlord, because comfortable housing is a human right.
Note the clear message: "You will have free healthcare and free housing." Wow, what a hook for gullible Americans, eh?
Your retirement is publicly funded. Food, education, energy, medicine, and transportation aren’t for-profit businesses; they are common goods and utilities.
OK, enough about bills. What do you do on your day off? [List of pleasurable things to do.]
These are all familiar everyday activities. But what if you were free to spend your time as you liked without worrying about cost, or dreading going back to work? What if you didn’t have to think about paying rent or loans at the end of the month, or saving for college, or affording groceries?
This totally seductive tale goes on for dozens of pages, all cutely illustrated with child-like drawings (how appropriate). Below: what an ideal life looks like for communists.

Short answer: under the DSA plan "the gummint" gives you everything you ever wanted, for free. Yes, you have a job, but suddenly it's "interesting" and you enjoy it! Magic! College? Free to everyone, of course.
Of course like everything else, college wouldn't really be free: someone has to pay the massive salaries of the endless army of $350,000-a-year adminishits and $150k-a-year professors, and the massive utility bills (gotta keep those campuses totally lit at night, eh?). The numbers don't work. Not even close. And of course no one in the DSA even tried to make the numbers work, cuz neither DSA rulers nor their supporters (and potential voters) can do maff! Which is why stupid, gullible Americans eat this shit up: they believe everything can be paid for by gummint.
What no one ever tries to explain is: How will duh gummint get all the money needed to give every citizen all this faaabulous "free" stuff, eh?
But the beauty of communism is that no one is ever called to answer that question-- because communism is built on the faaaaabulous maxim "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need."
You may have heard that line before. It was popularized by Karl Marx, and it sounds SO reasonable, eh?
The entire DSA platform--as quoted above--is such a tissue of outrageous lies as to be unbelievable. Except they really posted it. Click on the link above to see for yourself.
