Faculty members at elite universities are almost 100% liberal Democrats

In a survey of faculty at Ivy League universities, forty percent of faculty members admitted they would vote against hiring any Trump supporter seeking an academic post, regardless of that candidate's scholarship or teaching ability. 

Keep in mind that this 40% is just those professors willing to admit to such bias.

Jonathan Turley writes of a Harvard Law professor who expressed disbelief that I expected him to vote for qualified faculty applicants who held views  contrary to his.  When Turley noted that he regularly votes for faculty candidates who hold opposing views, he just shrugged, saying if he doesn't like a candidate's views, he wouldn't vote for those views to be taught to students.

Law school faculties have now been almost completely purged of conservative voices, due to a biased hiring and promotion system.  Leftist professors ensure that students only hear liberal viewpoints.
