Dozens of new reports of massive financial fraud

You need to read this recap by Ace about all the new fraud that's being revealed.

Of course you won't, cuz..."I gots t'watch 'Dancing wif duh Starz!'"  Or dat dreamy Rachel Madcow!

So once again let's review: In nature, what ALWAYS happens to animals that refuse to learn?

Either they get eaten, or merely starve to death.

Typical American voter: "I'm smaahht!  I don't kere if dere's a trillion dollars of fraud a year in gummint programs cuz it din' cost ME nuffin'!  Duh gummint  borrowed duh money, which mean it free, deplorable!"

SO...in reading the story, it seems that in one sense the dam is starting to break: thanks to Trump and a handful of whistleblowers, more and more proven cases of brazen fraud are coming to light.

Unfortunately, if history is any guide no one will be charged, tried, convicted and executed for ANY of it.  Reason: corrupt leftist/Dem judges and corrupt U.S. Attorneys from blue states conveniently "losing" folders of evidence.

Typical Democrat: "Dat jus' stupid right-wing conspiracy stories!  Dere ain't no such thing as corrupt judges or U.S. Attorneys!"

You bet, cupcake.  So let's see if anyone in the U.S. is charged, eh?  Oh the Left may well charge people who have fled to their home countries where they can't be found and extradited, but very few fraudsters in the U.S. will be tried--and then only the small ones.  Most won't even be charged, despite overwhelming evidence.

Reason is that it would likely expose kickbacks from grant recipients to the Democrat partei.  Totally legal, of course--just regular campaign contributions, eh?

The policy of virtually every state has been to give checks to fraudsters, and then if anyone showed there billing was fraudulent, to make noise about "clawing back" the fraudulently-obtained money--which has long-since been sent overseas--meaning you'll never get it back.  But "we've filed suit to get tens of millions back" was a great PR cover story.

Democrat-ruled states not only didn't care, but had procedures that made fraud easy.  And it's just a coincidence that the fraudsters donated to the Dem party.  Dem-ruled states would cut checks to fraudsters for years, even when corporate records on file with the state absurdly claimed 40 "daycare centers" were operating in a single strip mall.  No one at the state level ever thought to check.  

And when people like Nick Shirley would knock on the door of any of those alleged businesses (or often apartments) and ask, no one had ever heard of a daycare center there.

While there's certainly also some fraud in conservative states, most states run by Republican governors and legislators were more tightly run, probably because the GOP pols weren't getting the kickbacks.

Example:  Hahvahd obviously isn't a state, but the same principles apply.  The founder of a grandly-named "Center" at Hahvahd, Lee Nadler, collected $275 million in NIH grants while abandoning or repurposing research work he'd said his group promised to do, to obtain the grant money.

Most "ordinary" Americans would consider $275 million quite a pot of money.

Hahvahd's attorneys tried to get the charges dismissed by claiming the court should "be skeptical" that the NIH "somehow missed that two-thirds of the work contemplated was never done."  (Sounds like Hahvahd's attorneys don't realize they just admitted to the fraud), but putting the blame on the NIH.

And of course the problem was that NIH doesn't care.  Never has.  Their power comes from their ability to give taxpayer money to anyone they like, and to refuse to fund whatever they don't like.

That's real power, sparky.

The lawsuit claims Lee Nadler and Hahvahd repeatedly submitted reports falsely claiming progress was being made, in compliance with the terms of the NIH grant--but that was total horseshit.

The comments (271 so far) are a hoot:

  * A corrupt leftist judge will order all the withheld payments to be released back to the fraud states in a day or two. 

  * d'ya think this might explain why half of the highskool grads in Chitcongo are illiterate?

  * I suspect the school systems responsible for most of this fraud are the same ones that do such a miserable job of educating children.  So hey, no harm no foul.

  * When both chambers of congress are in session, nuke it from orbit.  It's the only way to end this shit.

  * "Since 2019, school districts across 24 states and Puerto Rico have lost $225 million to fraud confirmed by the U.S. Department of Education inspector general's semiannual report to Congress. No more than $67 million has been recovered."
    Fake news. The losses are easily 10x that.

  * Notice that the same people who bleat that "millions are dying because the government isn't spending enough on social welfare programs" are the same ones who smirk and shrug when they hear reports of people stealing billions from these same welfare programs.

  * One of the Somali scams in MN was for a Somali man married to multiple women to have the wives setup "daycare" businesses where wife-A would be paid to provide daycare to the kids of wife-B and vice-versa...all in his house of course. 
   MN Democrat officials: "Dat all perfekly legal, deplorable!"

  * George W. Bush deserves part of the blame, cuz his administration gave block grants to groups like "Upper Midwest Lutherans," who immediately started sponsoring Somalis for immigration.

  * The entire system is just taxpayer money being passed from one corrupt Democrat group to another, with each one taking ten percent for "administrative services."

  * Put the names of all fraudsters on a public list, and warn that any organization that's affiliated with any of them, in any way, will be barred from getting any taxpayer money for ANY reason.

 * California is probably the larges source of fraud, and Minnesota is second, but there are 24 other Democrat-ruled states, and haven't been investigated.

 * Democrat-ruled states will refuse to cooperate with investigators because this is one of the best remaining fundraising ops they have.

 * Being a college professor doesn't make someone a communist--but it sure as hell attracts communists, who always get hired by leftist faculty.

 * The Media have already written the sob stories: "There is no fraud, but cutting grants will kill even more children than cuts to USAID!"

 * "Where my EBT card at?"

 * Treasury Sec. Bessent showed that the largest funding source of the Muzz terror group Al Shabaab was from money fraudulently obtained from the state of Minnesota. 

 * Democrats like Van Jones, Hakeem Jeffries, Chuck Schumer, Cory Booker and others are trying to figure how they can get more votes by pandering to DSA voters.  Meanwhile the DSA is laughing all the way to the bank, since even if their candidates lose, the DSA wins by forcing the Dem party to embrace more leftist policies.

 * Basic truths about taxes:
    1. Sooner or later, pols will try to tax everything except themselves;
    2. Once a tax has been passed, the rate will always increase *just slowly enough that the sheep won't come after the pols with pitchforks. 
    Ahh, you're skeptical?  The federal income tax started at one percent of incomes over about half a million bucks in today's dollars.

 * How communists create a massive pool of resentful, angry young Americans: "My professors promised me that my PhD in Womens' Studies would guarantee me a six-figure income!  But the only job I've been able to get is at Starbucks!  Can't get hired for the salary my profs promised I was worth!  So I'm voting for the DSA.

 * One of the biggest lies we were told as kids was 
“Crime Does Not Pay.”  Bullshit, it pays great. Especially if you're in congress or a Dem in a Dem-controlled state. 

 * Professors, teachers, lawyers and judges are products of a feedback loop that started in the 1950's, with each generation producing more liberal graduates.
   Each of these professions has become more leftist, until now conservatives are virtually excluded from all four except for the Supreme Court, where a conservative president can at least nominate a conservative.  But even then senate Democrats can refuse to confirm, as they did in 1987 with judge Robert Bork, whose nomination  was rejected by the senate 58-42. 
    52 Democrats and six Republicans voted against Bork.  Only two Democrats voted to confirm him.  Party-line discipline worked almost perfectly.
