FBI lied *again*--claimed it didn't have Seth Rich's laptop, then...
Of course you don't know who Seth Rich is. There's a reason.
FBI Asks Judge to Delay Seth Rich Laptop Release for 66 Years
by Cullen McCue, October 29, 2022
(This item from 2022 got by me. Look for the ultimate disposition of this case.)
In 2016 a trove of emails between John Podesta, the Hilliary-loving chair of the Democrat National Committee, and numerous other people was leaked to Wikileaks.
You probably don't recall that.
The DNC instantly claimed their email server had been hacked by Russia! But they cunningly refused to let anyone examine their server queries to try to substantiate that bullshit.
Later investigators examining the volume of the leaked emails calculated that at the comm speeds then available, it would have taken over ten minutes to download all the material Wiki got. But servers connecting to the DNC server showed no downloads to overseas servers of anywhere near that duration during the period in question.
The immediate conclusion was that the leak was "an inside job." But who?
A few weeks later a 26-year-old computer tech for the DNC, Seth Rich, was shot twice in the back at 5am as he walked home from a DC bar. The Media and cops immediately called it a "botched robbery"--which was curious since nothing of value was taken. He was still wearing gold chains and a Rolex, and his billfold and cell phone were still on him.
You won't be surprised to learn that the killers have never been identified.
The day after Rich was shot in the back, FBI agents raided his apartment and seized his laptop.
They didn't have a warrant, and no legal justification for seizing it. And yet they seized it. Why?
When asked about this later, the FBI repeatedly lied that they did NOT have Seth Rich's laptop, claiming they'd turned it over DC Metro cops. But the cops denied ever getting it, and there was no reason for the FBI to have done that. If any contents bore on the reason he was killed, the FBI would have been the agency to determine that. But because the Democrats were definitely agitated about this, no news agency pursued the critical questions.
NOW, six years after he was shot, we find that the FBI DOES have the laptop, but has refused to release its contents.
First they claimed it would violate the privacy of his parents. The judge rejected that argument. But THEN on appeal, the agency claimed releasing the contents "might" expose a critical informant, or some such.
>>The FBI has asked a federal judge to reverse his order that the bureau disclose information from a laptop belonging to Seth Rich. If the judge refuses, the FBI has asked that the release be delayed for...wait for it...66 years.
In September of 2022 District Judge Amos Mazzant, an Obama appointee, ordered the FBI to give information from Rich's laptop to Brian Huddleston, in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
The FBI responded that releasing the contents of the laptop would violate the privacy of Rich’s family members. This was clearly a bullshit excuse and the judge denied it.
But the Deep State always has Plan B, and in a new filing the FBI now argues that disclosing information on the laptop “could reasonably be expected to disclose the identity of a confidential source."
Keep in mind that the FBI originally denied having the laptop *or any information from it.* Then in 2020 the FBI inadvertently admitted it had *several thousand files* from the laptop.
The FBI then lied that it was “getting the files from Seth Rich’s personal laptop into a format to be reviewed.”
In the latest filing, government attorneys have reversed again, and now claim the FBI never extracted data from the laptop. See? "All prior statements are inoperative." "Any photos from the laptop that we may or may not have are currently stored on a compact disc."
Cuz dat make it way different.
FBI lawyers said “The FBI did not open an investigation into the murder of Seth Rich, nor did it provide investigative or technical assistance to any investigation into the murder of Seth Rich. As a result, the FBI has never extracted the data from the compact disc and never processed the information contained on the disc.” And that's actually quite believable, since the FBI is NOT in the business of solving crimes committed by Democrats.
If the judge rejects the FBI's bullshit motion, the biden regime has asked the judge to give the agency a staggering *66 years* to process and disclose information from the laptop--even though it implicitly claims it has NEVER looked at the contents so has no idea how much material it contains.
The FBI is determined not to release the contents of murder victim Seth Rich's laptop. One wonders why. But of course you'll never know.
The founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Rich's killers. He implied that the emails to and from John Podesta, chair of the Democratic National Committee, were given to WikiLeaks by Rich.
Interestingly, special counsel Robert Mueller (also a former director of the FBI) denied that, instead blaming the leak on Russian hackers. But even more interestingly, Mueller's 24-month investigation never found any proof of that. Never.
But Americans bought Mueller's bullshit because...he wuz Director of duh FBLie. So he gots ta tell us duh troof, right?
