Wow: Canadian govt bans govt employees from saying or writing "Let's go Brandon"--or any other phrase with a "double-meaning"
The fascist, totalitarian government of Canada seems to be taking lessons from both Australia and China. They've issued a DECREE that all government employees are prohibited from using phrases that have a double-meaning.
Same DECREE says no government employee may say or write "Let's go Brandon," since that has a double-meaning. Wow, dictatorial much?
Of course Canada does NOT recognize the right of free speech. The biden regime is working to take away that right here in the U.S.--from civilians as well as from government employees. But they're still a bit reluctant to try to abolish the 1st Amendment, so at first they'll just set up "hate-speech" laws that accomplish the same thing. Then once Americans have accepted the principle that some speech will not be permitted, amending the First to criminalize "hate-speech" will be easy.
"We're not removing free speech, citizen. Not at all! Perish the thought! But surely you don't want people saying certain things, right? I mean, some things simply should not be said or written, right?"
And the sheeple will find this an entirely reasonable argument. No one will ask the obvious question: "Who decides what speech will be forbidden? What rules will be used to determine that?"
Whereupon the sheeple, sensing cognitive dissonance approaching, will demand that the questioner be executed.
