High school principal in Seattle suburb cancels student tribute to 9/11; "might be offensive to *some people*"

The state of Washington is infested with wokie, anti-American snowflakes.  How woke?  Read on:

As the 20th anniversary of 9/11 approached, student leaders at Eastlake High School (near the Peoples' Republic of Seattle) wanted to do something to remember the tragic events.  They decided to urge students to wear red, white and blue to the Friday football game to honor the lives lost in the attack by muslim hijackers.  A peaceful, patriotic display, eh?

Of course Washington public school adminishits hate any display of patriotism--it's just not allowed, comrade!--so the principal ORDERED the tribute scuttled.  The official excuse was that wearing red, white and blue might be seen by some as racially insensitive or offensive to some people.

Neither principal Chris Bede nor the district's highly-paid communications director would explain who they believed would take offense to students wearing red, white and blue, or why wearing the colors of our flag is offensive to sane people.  No one would say.
