Washington Post chooses the 4th of July to utterly trash...the Statue of Liberty?? Yep

The rat-bastards who infest the Washington Post never miss the chance to scream and whine about how absolutely awful every bit of our American heritage is.  Having trashed the military and the flag and fireworks and Independence Day parades, and every religion except the one they fear and love--Islam--not many targets remain.

But never fear, on July 4th the Post trotted out a particularly slimy bastard named Philip Kennicott, who found a NEW target to sneer at:  the Statue of Liberty.

 

Under the headline "Lady Liberty's shrinking appeal" the asshole bleated that Donald Trump and the Republicans ruined the pro-immigrant spirit of the monument by four years of "strident and often violent anti-immigrant sentiment."

Of course that's a total, brazen lie:  As the Post well knows, the complaint was never about LEGAL immigrants, but about ILLEGAL immigrants invading the U.S.  Specifically, that a corrupt, lawless Democrat president--Obama--with the support of rulings by corrupt, lawless federal judges--had totally opened the border to all comers.  But of course the Post's loyal readers don't know or care about that vital distinction.  They swallowed the bullshit in a single gulp.

Kennicott wrote that although familiar to "some" Americans, the iconic statue "is just as meaningless or foreign to others, a sign without significance, or worse, a symbol of hypocrisy or unfulfilled promises."  Ah, in that case why do you think the Chinese students at Tien an Min square built a model of it, eh?  You ignorant, effete, anti-American fairy.

Oh, and if (as you moronically claim) "Lady Liberty's appeal" is shrinking, why are 160,000 illegal immigrants entering the U.S. every damn month?  Seems like she's still VERY appealing.  Just not to America-haters like you.

 After the icon was renovated in 1986, during the "re-lighting ceremony" this America-hating jerk had a thought:

A statue that held little meaning to me was suddenly meaningful in a very particular way: I could reject it. “This is your symbol, not mine,” I said, repeating if not the exact words at least sentiments similar to those others had no doubt felt since the beginning of the republic.

In case you think I've misinterpreted this asshole, in other articles he's penned for the scummy Post he's sneered at Mount Rushmore, describing it as “colossal kitsch,” nothing more than a “populist spectacle.”  And in May of 2020, he sneered that America is “desperately sick.”

So given this moron's twisted view, you'd think he'd be absolutely thrilled nowthat biden*harris and the Democrats have control of every branch of government.  You'd think he'd calm down, dial back his hatred for our nation.  But leftist wackos never do that--they're never happy, and wouldn't be even if Pol Pot or some equally bloodthirsty leftist was president.  They always have to be mad about something.

Philip: GFY.  Die in a fire.  You don't deserve to live here.  Find somewhere more in tune with your bizarre tastes.
