The sun is raaacist.
Suppose some unknown blogger claimed "Temperature is a justice issue: some neighborhoods can be up to 20 degrees hotter or colder than others! And studies have shown that 'communities of color' are hotter in the summer and colder in the winter! This is raaacist!"
What percentage of adult Americans would instantly recognize that this was utter horse-shit? Or as Tim Young put it, amounts to claiming the sun is raaaacist.
Okay, has anyone west of New York heard of a guy named Ed Markey?
Ed is a U.S. senator from the Peoples' Republic of Massachusetts. He entered congress in 1976, at age 30, and has been there ever since.
Ed, you see, is a Democrat. And smaht. Vewy, vewy smaht. Dat's why duh peeps of Mass have kept electing him for over 44 years.
So...remember the opening statement by that hypothetical blogger, at the top? Did you think it was logical, reasonable, plausible, or horseshit? Unless you're a BLM fan, you probably realized it was the latter. But look how much more believable it sounds when the same core point comes from a vewy smaht Democrat senator, eh? Take a look:
Of course Markey make that tweet a whole nine days ago, so he's had time to reverse his position three or four times by now. Maybe if we had "reporters" one might ask him if he really believes that.
Oh wait...I see now: "Studies have shown..." That explains everything.
Say, I've heard that "studies" show that if a nation prints trillions of dollars in currency--whether borrowed or TOTALLY pulled out of the air--you get hyperinflation. You don't suppose that could happen here, do ya? Nah, didn't think so.
Well, at least not a single Dem thinks so. And they're all really smaht, like Sandy Cortez and Pelosi and Tlaib and Pressley and Omar. Top people.
