Some ideas on what will it take to restore trust that elections aren't stolen by rat-bastard thieves
A commenter on another blog noted that we won't be able to have honest elections unless several things are changed/fixed in all 50 states:
- No mail in ballots, except REQUESTED absentee ballots, WITH both voter and witness signature, and verifiable signature matching, backed up by images of both the envelop sig and the on-file sig side by side, so all can be audited forever;
- Only paper ballots, filled out by hand, not printed by some other machine and fed into a "counting machine" by a poll worker;
- No "curing" of absentee ballots; if a voter can't follow simple instructions, vote isn't counted. We can assume Dem voters aren't any dumber than Rep voters, although we'll cheerfully entertain Dem arguments to the contrary!
- Photo-ID to vote. We've heard endlesslly that you have to have a photo ID to open a bank account, board a commercial airline flight, apply for most welfare benefits, but for some reason Democrat leaders DEMAND that no ID be required for the most critical function performed by citizens (and in too many case, by non-citizens). Democrats argued that getting such an ID was "too expensive", that many poor folks didn't have a driver's license and so on, so the state legislators provided FREE photo ID. I know of NO state that doesn't offer that by now, so that argument is CRAP. Introduce the federal law and make the God-damn Democrat rat-bastards vote against it!
- No ballots accepted after polls close. This is where so much fraud happens.
- Strict "chain of custody" required on every ballot box: where it came from, who picked it up, at what time, and where it went. Every ballot box to have a unique ID and a unique engraved code, with a list of what boxes went to which precincts.
- Absentee and military and overseas mail ballots must be received by 9pm on election day.
- Ballots counted by hand and no stopping the count. No machines of any kind used to count ballots or totals votes.
- All envelopes for absentee ballots (including military) must be retained for two years.
- Automatic ten-year prison term for anyone who shreds an envelope before the two-year date.
- Death penalty or life without parole for anyone who approves or facilitates election fraud. (Okay, that may be a bit harsh. Get back to me in four years and let me know.)
