Released killer, hired by DC's ~district attorney to reduce violence, arrested again for murder

When leftists like Kamala Harris bark the Democrat talking point that we must “reimagine police,” the result looks something like this: 

The attorney-general for D.C. (same job as district attorneys) hired a “reformed” murderer to help curb violence, using taxpayer dollars under one of the innumerable Democrat-enacted programs to avoid having to actually arrest and prosecute criminals.  This particular scam has the lofty title Cure the Streets, and it was started by the same A-G for DC--so he has a huge interest in making it look effective.  

According to this A-G, the program would reduce gun violence "by treating it as a disease that could be interrupted and stopped from spreading."  The program hired "men with criminal histories" as "violence interrupters."

One such "violence interrupter" hired by the Democrat A-G was career criminal Cotey Wynn, whose résumé already included felony murder, first-degree murder, dealing cocaine and more. 

To the utter amazement of almost every Democrat, this noble "violence interrupter" has been arrested again, charged with second-degree murder while armed.

At the time of his arrest Wynn was "being supervisied" by the Pretrial Services Agency for the District of Columbia, a federal agency with the official goal of pushing for criminals to be released from jail while awaiting trial.  Seriously.  Cuz everyone knows that criminals free to roam around like law-abiding citizens would NEVER commit more crimes, eh?  I mean, that's crazy-talk!

A profile posted on the [DC] Attorney General’s website portrays Wynn in glowing terms. “Observing Cotey at work you see a respected professional, a loving father, a devoted friend, and a pillar of the community." The piece included a photo of the accused murderer delivering resources to D.C. residents during COIVD-19. The story also reveals that Wynn could not find a job after a decade in prison since “the damage to his reputation made it hard for him to find employment.”  Ah.  So the top "law suggesting officer" in D.C.'s ghastly government hired him as a violence interrupter.

With the crucial help of the Mainstream Media, liberals and Democrats have convinced most Americans that all cops are racist.  Accordingly, the liberal "solution" is to make amends by not jailing  most criminals.  So Democrats make flowery gestures as murder rates soar. 

When the problem their policies made worse gets bad enough, Democrats will introduce the "solution" they wanted all along:  confiscate all guns from law-abiding citizens, thus ensuring that more people like Wynn are left free to commit crimes with no fear of return fire from citizens.

But don't worry, Democrats:  This "respected professional" Wynn is sure to be back on the streets before long, curing those streets, interrupting violence and being praised as a model citizen.
