Have Americans learned anything yet? Some have, some haven't

Four years ago an American businessman said:
    "We need to protect our borders--maybe build a wall."

Four years ago I heard an American leader say:
    "We're far too dependent on other countries for things we need to survive!"

Four YEARS ago a presidential candidate said:
    "We need to bring American companies, capabilities and jobs back to this country."


FOUR YEARS AGO we all heard a future president say:
    "It's time our government started putting America first."

I think we may be starting to see the wisdom of those recommendations.
