NYC says must show ID to buy in city-owned stores, then folds when story gets out
After Mamdani's lackeys said people wanting to buy groceries from the subsidized city-owned grocery stores would have to show an ID "of some form" to buy, the hypocrisy meters of most rational adult Americans went off the charts. So on Monday the communist Muslim Mamdani overruled his lackey, sayin' the notion that shoppers would have to show proof of residency to buy groceries wuz nuthin' of the sort!
Seriously! TV viewers watched the lackey on live television saying "some form of ID would be required," but then on Monday, after viewers had lit up the comments sections of social media with claims of "hypocritical rat-bastards," Mamdani not only quickly scrapped the ID idea, but denied it was ever even proposed as a way of identifying shoppers as living in the city.
Heaven forbid, comrade! Instead a Mamdani lackey bleated that it was only proposed simply as "a practical inventory management tool."
SEE, citizen? Not trying to identify whether shoppers were city residents at ALL, comrade! Cuz that would be...um...maybe hypocritical. Of course they lackey didn't bother trying to explain how ID cards were actually (checks notes) "a practical inventory management tool," and no reporter bothered to ask. Cuz everyone with a functioning brain knew it was horseshit.
The lackey could have said "Needed to make the automatic door openers work," and reporters still wouldn't have asked questions--cuz they're communists just like the mayor.
"Crucial Quote:
Mamdani spokesperson Cassio Mendoza said “Comparisons to voter-ID laws or the SAVE Act simply do not apply. This is not an identification system, nor is it a mechanism to verify who someone is, where they live, or how much they earn. [Instead] It is [merely] a practical inventory management tool to ensure affordable groceries remain available for the people who need them instead of being cleared off shelves for resale.”
That's utter horseshit, of course. You claim requiring an ID to buy groceries in the new, taxpayer-funded, city-owned stores is merely (checks notes) "a practical inventory management tool," while requiring proof of citizenship and photo ID to vote--a "practical election management tool"--is awful, horrible! "Voter suppression!"
This is example number [infinity] of how communists instantly change definitions when they're called out for being the lying rat-bastards they always are. They re-define terms as needed.
So the Dems continue to squeal that requiring a photo-ID to vote is ghastly, and when they propose requiring people to show "an" ID to buy groceries--not realizing the contradiction--they're forced to say "Oh, dis wuz nevah (checks notes) an identification system, nor is it a mechanism to verify who someone is or where they live."
And of course the Dems also bleat that while New York shoppers could get by with a "library card," they claim it's "impossibly hard fo' po' folks to get" the super-sekrit photo ID the SAVE act would require to vote. So requiring one to vote mus' be "designed to suppress minority votes," eh?
"Impossibly hard to get" is horseshit, but bleating that does what the Democrats, DSA and communists want: drums up opposition to the SAVE Act, and blocking that will continue to allow Democrat agents to vote several times, and to allow illegal aliens to vote.
But hey, why worry about voting, eh? It's not like that's important. Also, if the high-population states allow "custom vote counting" it won't matter what the low-population states do.
