Leftist mag "The Nation" demands that liberals "fight with conservative relatives" at Thanksgiving
"The Nation" is a left-wing magazine/website/cesspool. Below is their hostile, divisive demand for your Thanksgiving:
Leftists--or as they cunningly call themselves, "progressives"--thrive on conflict, confrontation, division.
By complete contrast, try to find just *one* quote from a conservative columnist, publication or even a blog demanding that conservatives use Thanksgiving dinner to argue with their liberal/Democrat relatives over political disagreements.
The only sentiment you'll find from conservatives on Thanksgiving is to enjoy your family, your meal, and just leave politics aside, just for one day.
Progressives thrive on confrontation.
Here's another comparison: Remember how often the Kavanaugh hearings were interrupted by left-wing protesters who had to be forcibly ejected? All told there were over 200 interruptions in the Kavanaugh hearings due to the antics of left-wing protesters.
Compare that to the shampeachment hearings of a couple of weeks ago. Was Washington DC suddenly inundated with hordes of conservative protesters screaming and yelling at Democratic congressmen, disrupting the hearings, forcing them to flee from restaurants and in parking lots? How many conservatives were arrested? How many were forcibly removed by security?
The answers are, of course, no, zero, and zero.
I think the reason for this is that most conservatives have jobs, and lives outside of politics. Also because there's no right-wing equivalent to the Soros-funded rent-a-mobs that the left can summon at a moment's notice to disrupt any event.
At this point it seems reasonable to ask whether there's any way to reconcile the two halves of this nation.
